Has it really been a year since the Mad Scientist party for my son TJ???

I always love for my kids to pick their own Birthday party theme. This year TJ is obsessed with Monopoly! He was the Monopoly Man for Halloween and decided he wanted a Monopoly party for his 9th Birthday. The big difference this year is that he is planning a sleep over! I’m used to having kids for parties 2-3 hours max. This is a huge commitment!

So naturally I’ve been pinning away on pinterest at everything Monopoly. Here are some of my favorites I found:

I’m baaaaack!  This blog post marks the end of my maternity leave from Modern Hostess.  I hope to be back in the swing of things but with a precious new little boy at home, I can’t make any promises.  First on my to do list is Valentine ’s Day.  I live in a house full of boys so girly hearts, pink roses, and anything “sweet” isn’t going to cut it around here.  I have been hunting around the internet for inspiration and thought I would share the creative valentine’s geared to boys that are out there.    The best part about these valentines is that they each have free printables to download so you can create them this weekend in time for the big day.

There is a serious baby boom going on around me this year. One of my closest childhood friends is having her first baby in March. I’ve been planning away on the details for her upcoming shower  and decided to go with the Vintage ABC’s theme. Here is my inspiration so far……

Well….it’s officially here! Birthday season at my house. We start with TJ in February, Mia and Brayden 2 weeks apart in March and then the grand finale my birthday in April! My husband celebrates his later in the year so he’s not technically in the birthday season. On top of all these birthdays I’m working on a baby shower, bachelorette, and bridal shower. It’s going to be busy around here for the next few months.

First on the list is TJ’s birthday. He is turning 8 this year and has requested a ‘Mad Scientist’ party. Here is my inspiration so far:
