Modern Parties ~ Bridal Shower Fiesta

My friend Shayna (aka ‘BFF’ ) just celebrated her Bridal Shower a couple of weeks ago. The maids and I hosted a fiesta lunch for Shayna’s closest family and friends. We decided to go with the fiesta theme for a couple of reasons Mexico is one of the bride and grooms favorite vacation destinations and 2 (the most exciting reason for me personally) the bridesmaids and I needed to get in the groove for our 5 day girls trip to Cabo in April! Why not host a fiesta?! The food was over the top and the margaritas A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Here are the details……
Invitation: The wedding colors are orange and pink so we decided to carry that into the bridal shower, invitations designed by Card Store.com
Party Favors: A family secret of spices from Shayna’s side of the family. We were all excited to have our own jar (I snuck 2, but don’t tell the other girls). Our Modern Hostess Christine of Graphic Bungalow designed the labels (Chris also designed the save the date and wedding invitations- she’s an AMAZINGLY talented graphic designer). Ribbon and wedding favor jars are from Michaels.
Outdoor decor: We rented cocktail height tables from Taylor Rentals for the patio. I’m Pom obsessed as you may know already. I made some bright poms using this tutorial seen here. Super easy and an inexpensive way to add some color.
Appetizers: Individual 7 layer dips & Guacamole Bruschetta {recipe}.
Lunch: Beautiful salad, Mini Taco Bowls {recipe} carnitas, chicken, rice and beans.
Drinks: Iced Tea, Spa Water and Pink Grapefruit Margaritas {recipe}! The outer drink dispensers are from Z Gallerie and the Chalk board tags are from Sur La Table.
Dessert: Margarita Cupcakes {recipe} & Coconut Lime Cookies {recipe}.
The Beautiful Bride (center) and her maids- Teresa, Cortnie, Steph & Katie. Looking forward to the weeks to come with bachelorette, rehearsal and the wedding!
